Frequently Asked Questions

We understand that this is a difficult time for you and your loved ones. Here are some questions that patients and families most commonly ask. If  you cannot find the answer to your question here, please call us.

Before You Arrive

  • In addition to toiletries, we encourage all of our patients to bring at least 4 days worth of prescribed medications and clothing. An important part of therapy is to begin the day with the resident dressed in their own clothes and functioning as they would at home or in their community.

  • Feel free to bring personal items that will help you feel at home such as a favorite blanket and family photos. Additional items, such as electronics and mobile devices can be discussed at check-in with a member of your care team.

  • Upon your arrival you will be welcomed by the staff and shown to your room. For your convenience, we have a luggage cart available to assist you with the move-in process. Efforts are made your first day to help you feel welcome and at home. After the check-in process is complete you will be given a tour of the community and an opportunity to meet more of our staff members.

During Your Stay

  • Residents will take an active part in therapy in 30-45 minute sessions throughout the day at least 5 days a week. If your family member's therapy services are through Medicare/Insurance, daily progress needs to be demonstrated and participation in therapy is a requirement.

  • We are able to make accommodations on an individual basis. We understand that family plays a crucial role in the recovery process. Please speak with your Admissions Director about overnight guests.

  • Our care navigators will contact resident’s primary care physician and notify them of their recovery process. The rehabilitation physician will dictate a discharge summary that will be sent to the resident’s primary care doctors upon leaving our facility.

  • Activities will be offered to engage our residents in socialization and physical movement. The facility will bring in local personalities such as musicians, story-tellers and more to entertain our residents. The local churches also offer a rotation of services within our facility.
